Theme Song:

Break Away
By: Kelly Clarkson

I picked this song because the narrator is saying they'll break away, they're not asking for permission, they're taking charge without trampling over others to do it.

I picked a wild horse for my symbol,
because it's free and doesn't have

Did you know?

George Washington held the first recorded meeting of a "Cabinet" in 1791.
Did you know?

The term "Cabinet" comes from the Italian word Cabinetto, meaning "a small, private room." A good place to discuss important business without being interrupted.

Education:

15,000 school distructs have lessened the amount on class time given to subjects such as music, history, art, etc. Most students are dropping out of school because they are unmotivated and bored, but others are dropping out because of bullying, things going on at home or at school, or because classes are diffucult. Kids should at least stay in school until high school graduation because you can atleast get a job when you have a high school education. But kids who do drop out have more free time so they will most likely get in to a self destructive rut (which is harming yourself repeatedly) that might include drugs and/or alcohol. Opposite to popular belief 16 is not the magic age at which dropping out is alright. Many states make it a civil crime to drop out before 18 and many have laws against truancy (unexplained absences from school). Some kids believe that it makes them 'cool' to drop out of school and more 'mature' but really, it's the exact opposite.

What I Would Do For The Education In The United States?:

I would contact the school distructs and try to have them even out the time given to each subject. Then I would have students and teachers moniter the hallways, because sometimes it's not good to have only teacher interaction. Also, to make school more interesting, once a month students and staff members can win something in a school drawing. Another thing I would try to do would be making scholarships cheaper and students that aren't doing too well in school but want to go to college write an essay telling why they havn't been doing to well in school and why they think that they should go to college.

Health Care:

Too much lead exposure can severly harm young children and babies, even before they are born. Most lead poisoning goes un-noticed until the damage has already been done. Tiny amounts of lead can reduce your IQ, making you have reading and learning disabilities, and even behavior problems. 80% of childhood lead poisoning occurs at home, because they can eat paint chips, and other toxic materials, and also because their nervous systems and brains are still developing. Most adults get lead poisoning at work, there are laws that seek to prevent this. Lea d is a invisable enemy, often in the form of simple dust that enters homes. Dust can be both inhaled or ingested especially by young children who tend to put everything in their mouth. The greatest concern is the water. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) estimates that about 42 million Americans use household water that contains unsafe levels of lead. Also, lead is so dangerous because when you digest it your body mistakes it for calcum.

What I Would Do For The Health Care Of The United States?:
I would have every adult and child have regular visits to a local docter that has a degree in curing them. Some of the effects of lead poisoning can not be cured, but if you find out that you DO have lead poisoning, you can take steps to remove the lead and prevent future poisoning. But most times, people don't find out that they have lead poisoning until it is too late to take action.

Environment:

Did you know that the United States has the cleanest drinking water in the world? The US uses about 410 billion gallons of water per day. Do you have a faucet in your home that always drips and you don't think that you should fix it? Well, think about those little drops of water, and how each and every day it keeps dripping, think how many homes, in your neighborhood, in your town, in your state also dripped, thoses little drips of water can cause a flood of water down the drain. One gallon of water would equal about 15,140 drips and one liter would equal about 4,000 drips a day.

What I Would Do For The Enviroment?:

I would have homes that have leaky fauctes have a bucket under their sinks and each day that water would be given to the government and then shipped to a local water agencey so they can inspect the water for lead and other bacteria that is inside of the water, then the water was given to the water agencey will be put in water bottles and be handed out on the streets to the families that have lost their homes.
